Lord Jesus Christ,
just as this plate is incomplete without bread,
so something is missing from our lives without you.

Remind us, whenever we gather, of that trust,
and, each time bread is broken and shared,
remind us also that
through the new life you offer,
won by your dying and rising again,
your surrendering of all
so that we might receive grace upon grace,
you have met that need
and answered our emptiness.
So, then, we ask,
bless all that we offer you now -
this ciborium,
our worship and sacrament,
our discipleship,
our lives -
and use it to your glory.
